Murdock's World Continued...

A couple of weeks ago Murdock discovered the chair that his great grandfather sits in possesses a magical toy: a handle!
Every time we go to visit Grammy and Great Grandfather, he goes straight for this handle and holds on for dear life. We tried an experiment the last time we were there to test his devotion to said handle, and the results were fantastically funny.

He has a little ball and a toy car that we keep over there to entertain him. He loves these toys dearly-especially the car.
So we placed the car about a foot from his reach and watched.
He let go of the handle for a split second, turned toward the car and almost grabbed it when he remembered his handle and turned back. He remained holding the handle and just pointed to the car till we gave in and let him hold it with his other hand.
He did this with many toys.
We would not sacrifice his grip on the handle for any temptation.
If anyone, including Great Grandfather, tried to touch the handle, he would pry that person's hand away with a grunt and terrible determination.

Ah, stubborn little boy! Pray for me now-I can only imagine the teenage years. :0)

(Again, forgive the blurry pictures.)

Kids crack me up! It's funny what gets into their little heads about the way things should be. :)

I feel the same way with Ayla, she is stubborn and I am in for it with teenage years. Kids are too funny.
