July 6th, the boys and I survived an extremely long day of traveling. Its a bit of a blur at this point. I remember fighting with Murdock to get him to wear his seat belt on the plane. Watson screamed like a banshee. (AWESOME, let me tell you.) And some random guy helped us get around the airport during our layover in Texas.
But we did it and lived to tell the tale.
We met up with my parents and bestest Elisabeth in Utah and the following day, we visited the Hogle Zoo.
Good times ensued and the memory of the horrid travel day faded from our memories.
It is really important to mess around with anything containing water.
This is the train that we had to ride. Twice.
Murdock LOVED every second of it.
Sometimes you just need to get up close and personal with a giraffe.
These dinosaurs were fun. Murdock would start singing the theme to the Dinosaur Train every time he saw one.
Of course we needed new hats and stuffed animals from the shop! Murdock was lucky to score the last conductor's hat and a giant red dinosaur. This is Watson with his floppy hat and equally floppy giraffe.
The view really is better from here. I can vouch for that.
It was hot so Watson dressed accordingly.
Making a wish.
Watching the train go by.
Cooling off with Oupa and a Dr Pepper.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun day at the zoo! We will remember this for a long time!

I love the zoo. So do my boys. Especially the elephant that sings and spits on them... :)
