Watson started walking on July 4th.
He claimed his independence.
But with this new found freedom, he is discovering the "real world" to be a dangerous and unpredictable place. Yet, with each bump in the road (or toy thrown on the carpet), with each subsequent fall, he picks his little self up (sometimes with a whimper) and keeps going.
Watson has a lot to teach his mamma.
So very much.
Thursday we were all scrambling about (mostly mentally for me) because we knew a flood was coming.
In all the commotion, Watson took one of his thousands of daily tumbles...but this time he did not immediately jump to his wee feets.
He started to cry.
I knew he was hurt.
I didn't realize that he had busted his lip and gained his first real shiner.
The child looks like Floyd Maywether.
We could not be more proud....
After a moment of crying, he got right up and fell two more times trying to get to me.
Love this little man!

Ah poor Watson! That looks painful.
That is a sad looking eye. You didn't tell me about him walking. That is DEFINITELY text worthy!! :)I am so glad you are back home safely with home intact and hopefully a mostly healed eye!
Sweet baby! They grow so fast.
