One of the only downsides of adopting a pet from the SPCA is the likelihood that said pet will be sick...and Argyle was no exception. The last week was pretty scary and for a minute there, he was touch and go.
But in the last two days he has really started to come around and is not afraid to show his full personality.
He will sit at my vanity forever and stare at himself. Turns out he is one vain kitty!
He LOVES his tummy scratched and rolls over like a dog to let us pet him. (This is Bobby's first cat and he is totally sold on the awesomeness of a feline now.)
He doesn't mind us clipping his nails once a week and just sits there patiently till we are done.
He likes to climb on top of his potty house and shove half of his body through our bedroom blinds to stare at the happenings outside. (I suspect he is a gossip and phones his friends at night while we are sleeping to tell them all the latest news of the neighborhood. I suppose one should just expect that with nobility.)
He tolerates the children mildly. That said, Doc has been scratched more than once and has seemed to not learn a lesson at all. Watson of course sees a walking fuzzy and almost faints of pure giddy delight....this turns out to be most terrifying of all if you are that walking fuzzy.
At night he sleeps in our bed.
He is the loveliest of snuggle bugs.
(Until he gets up to make a few calls....)
